4 Days 3 Nights - Sacred Pilgrimage to Holy Swargadwari
Embark on a sacred journey to Swargadwari, one of Nepal's most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites, with our 4-day Swargadwari Pilgrimage Tour by Honest Travel Tours. Located in the Pyuthan district of western Nepal at 2,100 meters, Swargadwari (meaning "Gateway to Heaven") is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is famous for its herd of sacred cows. This tour combines spiritual pilgrimage with visits to Lumbini (Birthplace of Buddha) and Chitwan National Park.
Swargadwari is believed to be the place where cows go directly to heaven. According to legend, the temple was established by Guru Maharaj Narayan Khatri who spent 12 years in meditation here. The temple is unique for its herd of sacred cows that are never sold or slaughtered. Devotees believe that visiting Swargadwari helps attain moksha (liberation) and brings blessings for the entire family.
Our Swargadwari Tour is perfectly combined with visits to Lumbini (Birthplace of Buddha, UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Chitwan National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site). This makes it ideal for spiritual seekers who also want to experience Nepal's cultural and natural heritage. You'll experience Hindu pilgrimage, Buddhist spirituality, and wildlife adventure in one compact tour.
