Journey to Eastern Nepal: Early morning departure from Kathmandu for approximately 10-12 hour drive to Kanyam in Ilam district. The scenic drive passes through beautiful landscapes of eastern Nepal. Kanyam is famous for its tea gardens - you'll see vast expanses of lush green tea plantations. Arrive in Kanyam by evening, check into hotel. Enjoy the pleasant climate and fresh mountain air. Optional evening walk through tea gardens.

To Temple Base: After breakfast, drive to Thulo Phedi (3-4 hours), the starting point for the trek to Pathivara Temple. The road winds through beautiful hills with increasing altitude. Thulo Phedi serves as the base camp for pilgrims. Rest of the day for acclimatization and preparation for next day's trek. Evening briefing about temple rituals and trekking route. Visit local market if you need to purchase offerings for the temple.

Reach Pathivara Temple (3,794m) by late morning. Perform puja (worship) and seek blessings of Goddess Pathivara. Enjoy panoramic views of Kanchenjunga range on clear days. Spend time in meditation and exploration around temple complex. After completing religious activities, descend back to Thulo Phedi (1-2 hours downhill). Drive back to Kanyam for overnight stay.

Dharan serves as gateway to eastern hills and has mixed population of various ethnic groups. Check into hotel upon arrival. Afternoon free for exploration - visit local markets, Budha Subba Temple, or Dantakali Temple. Evening stroll through the clean, well-planned city. Dharan is also known for producing many Gurkha soldiers for British and Indian armies.

Special departures during major festivals: Baisakh Purnima (April/May - main festival), Dashain (Sept/Oct), and Tihar (Oct/Nov). Festival tours include participation in special rituals but may have higher costs due to demand. Book festival tours at least 2 months in advance.
Traditional offerings at Pathivara Temple include red cloth (chunri), bangles, sindoor (vermillion), sweets, fruits, and coconuts. These can be purchased at Thulo Phedi or near temple. Our guide can assist with selecting appropriate offerings. Average cost for basic offerings: โน800-1,600.
